The proposed site for the shipyard of GIMCO is in Kutch district, Gujarat, India which is situated on the western coast of India and is a principal maritime state endowed with favorable strategic locations. GIMCO has been awarded this project by Government of Gujarat to develop a shipyard in this region.
Haskoning is responsible for carrying out Market Research and Strategic Study; Site assessment; provide services related to Supervision and monitoring of field investigations and surveys.
Haskoning will also carry out Conceptual Layouts/ Concept Design for the proposed layout; Preliminary Engineering; Cost Estimates; Financial Analyses and provide technical assistance required for preparation of EIA Report.
Haskoning had earlier also carried out the Feasibility Studies for this project.
